Coach Derek has been part of the Little City Fitness coaching team since 2024. A husband to Coach Meagan and a dedicated father, Derek balances family life with a strong passion for fitness and helping others improve.
While his busy work schedule keeps him away during the summer months, members get plenty of time with him in the winter—and quickly learn what he brings to the table. Derek is known for his straightforward, no-nonsense coaching style. He tells it like it is, keeping things clear, honest, and focused on helping members get better.
He’s always ready to fire someone up for a new personal best and never hesitates to go above and beyond for those who want extra help or guidance. Whether it’s dialing in technique or pushing intensity, Derek is all in.
With a background in competitive sports and years of experience in CrossFit-style training since 2020, Derek brings both knowledge and intensity to his coaching.
He enjoys the best of both worlds—chasing a solid bodybuilding pump while also throwing around heavy weight in powerlifting and Olympic lifting movements.
